Haryana auctions 60 percent liquor vends

Under the first round of e-auction for the next excise year, Haryana government‘s excise and taxation department auctioned 60 percent of liquor vends across Haryana. According to the report, in the first round of auction, which was held between 26th  May to 31st  May, the department sold 731 out of 1,197 liquor zones and has assured the excise licence fee of Rs 5,181 crore from the auction.

In the second round of auction, Haryana is expecting to achieve its set revenue of Rs 13,000 crore in terms of revenue from excise.
