First time in the legal history of India, the Enforcement Directorate(ED) has named a political party as an accused in a case.  In a supplementary chargesheet filed in the Rouse Avenue court in the alleged liquor policy scam on 17th May, the ED has named the Aam Aadmi Party and its National Convener, Arvind Kejriwal as accused.

The agency is probing the money laundering angle of the alleged scam and this is the eighth chargesheet it has filed in the case, but the first in which Delhi's Chief Minister has been named. He was arrested on 21st March and he is out on interim bail. Regarding this matter,  the other prominent AAP leaders - the former Deputy CM of Delhi, Manish Sisodia and Rajya Sabha MP, Sanjay Singh were also arrested. Singh got bail on the case.
