LVMH launches Volcan de Mi Tierra in India

Louis Vuitton-Moët Hennessy (LVMH) has launched its ultra-premium tequila brand, Volcan de Mi Tierra, in India. The launch features an exclusive range—Blanco, Reposado, Cristalino and Volcan X.A, which are crafted using traditional methods rooted in over 300 years of heritage.

Volcan de Mi Tierra draws on the time-honoured traditions of the Gallardo family, whose tequila-making roots trace back to 1774 at Hacienda La Gavilana in Jalisco, Mexico. Partnering with Moët Hennessy, the brand combines craftsmanship expertise with global sophistication to create a tequila that embodies authenticity and innovation in every sip.

Volcan de mi Tierra is crafted exclusively from the finest 100 percent Blue Weber Agave. Its all-natural flavour and colour result from Volcan's expertise in blending and aging. Each bottle is hand-painted, numbered and sealed, reflecting exceptional craftsmanship. It's handcrafted, field to bottle.

The brand meticulously sources agave from two distinct regions in Jalisco, resulting in a complex and elegant product that harmonises diverse tequila profiles:

Volcan Blanco: A pure expression of 100 percent Blue Agave with subtle sweetness with delicate hints of grapefruit and black pepper spice, resulting in a well-balanced finish.

Volcan Reposado: Aged in American and European oak barrels results in an intricate complexity and refined finesse of carefully selected agave, terroir and wood. It delivers a rich and smooth flavour profile.

Cristalino: Aged and charcoal filtered for clarity, this tequila is finished in Cognac and whisky casks, giving it primary notes of caramel, tabacco and dark chocolate, followed by secondary notes of vanilla, soft spices and dried fruits.

Volcan X.A: This innovative blend of Reposado, Añejo, and Extra-Añejo tequilas is a unique assemblage of ages. XA reveals a perfect balance of cooked agave, a hint of spices and sweet aromas, delivering an unparalleled richness and complexity that sets a new standard in the world of tequila.

Volcan de Mi Tierra has gained critical acclaim, with Volcan X.A winning Best Agave-Based Spirit of the Year at the 2023 and 2024 NY Wines & Spirits Competition.
