Campari Group, an Italian spirits major, has appointed Simon Hunt as its CEO, replacing Matteo Fantacchiotti.

Hunt, a former Chief Executive at William Grant, carries over three decades of experience in the luxury spirits sector. He will be taking on the new role on January 15 following Campari’s board of directors’ general meeting.

Presently, Paulo Marchesini, the company’s chief financial and operating officer, is working as the interim CEO. He was given the additional charge after Fantacchiotti stepped down in September, just five months after assuming charge.
