CSAPL now entirely owns Carlsberg India Pvt. Ltd. (CIPL) and also holds a 99.94 percent stake in Nepal’s Gorkha Brewery Private Limited (GBPL). The total purchase price for the shareholding amounts to USD 744 million, with USD 50 million settled through a set-off arrangement and USD 207 million retained by Carlsberg. The latter is likely to be released after 3-5 years, depending on potential claims under the Share Purchase Agreement (SPA).
