The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), known for its iconic Taj brand, has announced the signing of two significant projects in the Kingdom of Bahrain: a luxury hotel and a boutique resort. This move makes IHCL the first Indian hospitality company to establish a presence in Bahrain, enhancing its footprint in the Middle East.

Situated in the scenic Hamala region, the forthcoming Taj resort will offer a luxurious escape with 251 beautifully designed rooms that capture the island's tranquil ambiance. Guests can expect an array of world-class amenities.

In Bahrain's bustling capital, Manama, IHCL will also introduce a 200-room Taj hotel in the dynamic Downtown Seef district. This hotel will cater to both business and leisure travelers with top-tier wellness facilities, including a modern gym, spa, and swimming pool, along with diverse culinary options.

Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of IHCL, expressed his excitement, stating, "We are delighted to announce these two new properties in Bahrain, a key gateway in our strategic expansion across the Middle East. These projects will not only bring the iconic Taj brand to Bahrain but also aim to elevate the region’s hospitality and tourism landscape."

With these new ventures, IHCL continues to strengthen its presence in the MENA region, where it currently operates seven hotels, including four under development. The new Taj properties are poised to set new standards in luxury and service, enhancing Bahrain’s appeal as a top destination for both leisure and business travelers.
