Inspired by the recently launched New York Bartender Week, IBW has been brought to life by industry luminaries Vikram Achanta, Minakshi Singh, and Yangdup Lama and is poised to be a transformative movement for the country’s bar industry, blending creativity, tradition, and modern innovation. The week-long event will be divided into two parts. The Beverage Week, held from February 21-25, will feature 20 of India’s top bars showcasing their creativity through bespoke drinks crafted with local ingredients. This will be followed by the India Bar Summit on February 26-27, a two-day gathering of bartenders, hoteliers, industry leaders, and influencers. The summit will include panel discussions, master classes, product showcases, bar takeovers, and after-parties. Enumerating the features of IBW, Yangdup, the Co-Founder of IBW, also renowned for Sidecar and Cocktails & Dreams Speakeasy, shared, “Bartending is a community-driven profession that connects people from all walks of life. India Bartender Week aims to empower bar professionals, turning them into entrepreneurs and change-makers. Through mentorship, skill development, and creative expression, we’re not just celebrating cocktails but fostering a community that can change the world, one guest at a time.” Vikram, also a Co-Founder of IBW and Founder of Tulleeho, emphasised the event’s transformative potential. “India Bartender Week is structured to support the next generation of bartenders by providing them with a platform for learning, networking, and growth. We’re bringing together an array of industry leaders, brands, and experts to share knowledge, inspire creativity, and elevate the customer experience. This event will help change perceptions about bartending in India, positioning it as a respected career path with immense potential for global recognition."| Minakshi, Co-Founder of IBW and Sidecar, underlined, “Our mission is to foster a space where bar professionals can grow, innovate, and connect with global peers—ultimately setting new standards for bartending in India. We hope it empowers our bartenders and gives them the support to shine in both domestic and international waters.” Subscribe to our Newsletter!
