Loca Loka tequila wins silver & bronze
Loca Loka tequila clinched a silver medal for its Reposado Tequila and a bronze medal for its Blanco Tequila at its debut appearance at the 2025 WSWA Wine and Spirits Tasting Competition in Denver, Colorado.
The blind tasting competition rewards excellence in taste and provides opportunities for both established and emerging brands to garner recognition.
“As a Mexican tequila imagined in India, the vibrant energy of both cultures is evident in every sip of Loca Loka,” said Harsha Vadlamudi, Founder and CEO of Loca Loka. “With the medals, Loca Loka is ready for global expansion through our unique ability to connect through bold flavours and rich cultural storytelling,” he added.
Actor Rana Daggubati and composer Anirudh Ravichander, co-creators of Loca Loka, shared Harsha's vision. Rana said, “It's no surprise that Loca Loka took home two medals in its first competition showing, given the premium quality of our tequila and its unique branding." Anirudh emphasised, "We've bottled the vibrancy of two lively cultures to create a tequila brand that is truly groundbreaking."
Launched in America last year in August, Loca Loka has seen continued success and strong demand in the US, driving steady growth. Initially launched in Los Angeles, New York, and New Jersey, the brand, conceptualised in India, has since expanded to key cities such as Dallas, Chicago, San Diego, Tampa, and Jacksonville, which highlights its strong resonance with the US market, driven by the rising popularity of tequila.
"We are delighted to receive both the silver and bronze medals in this WSWA Wine and Spirits Tasting Competition," said Global Business Head Rajiv Ghumman. "This is the first time Loca Loka was submitted for this competition and its strong showing in this blind tasting is a testament to the premium quality of Loca Loka tequila."
Loca Loka tequila is 100 percent additive-free, crafted from pure highland agave grown in Jalisco, Mexico. Each agave is picked by hand and slow-cooked in brick ovens and autoclaves to preserve the essence of the plant.
