Noida liquor shops' timings extended on Dec 31

The Noida Excise Administration has extended the timings of liquor shops for December 31 until 11 PM. This adjustment aims to cater to the high demand of alcohol during New Year’s Eve celebrations.

The administration has emphasised the requirement for occasional bar licenses to serve alcohol at New Year parties, including private gatherings. Single-day licenses, priced at Rs 1,100, can be obtained online, ensuring safe and legal alcohol consumption during the festivities.

Private gatherings require a license costing Rs 4,000, while commercial venues, such as restaurants and banquet halls, must obtain a license priced at Rs 11,000. Legal action will be taken against non-compliance, according to the department.

Furthermore, the administration has urged citizens to serve only licensed alcohol approved for sale in Uttar Pradesh. The district has recorded a 20 percent increase in license applications compared to the previous year, reflecting growing awareness and compliance among residents.
