United Breweries registers lease for new UP Brewery

United Breweries Ltd. (UBL), part of the Heineken Company, has completed the registration of the lease deed for an industrial plot allotted by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) in Unnao.

The new facility will produce both mainstream and premium beer brands, including Heineken, and will be equipped to handle both cans and bottles. UBL said the project will significantly strengthen its manufacturing footprint, enhance capacity and support its long-term expansion strategy in India.

Originally announced in February 2025, the Company announced plans for the greenfield brewery to meet strong category growth in Uttar Pradesh. The facility is expected to be operational by Q2 FY27.
