Jayant Chaudhary, the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and
Entrepreneurship, inaugurated the VISA-THSC Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Project in
Bharatpur, Rajasthan.
The initiative aims to certify and upskill 20,000 individuals in the tourism and hospitality
sectors over three years. The project will target roles like Tour Guide and Customer Service
Executive, with 7,000 certifications planned in the first year.

The Keoladeo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, serves as the training hub. With
VISA’s expertise in digital literacy and financial inclusion, the project promises to raise service
standards and empower India’s workforce. It will expand to 10 states in the next three years,
fostering sustainable tourism growth.
