Sports car manufacturer creates gin with wood
British sports car manufacturer Morgan Motor Co. has collaborated with Piston Distillery to produce a gin named Morgan x Piston Gin. Newly crafted gin is infused with shavings from the wood used to make the Morgan’s cars.
However, the use of wood in its production has been part of Morgan’s method since it launched its first car in 1909. Piston Distillery created Morgan x Piston Gin said to be the world’s first commercially-produced gin to be produced with ash wood.
Morgan x Piston Gin has notes of ‘natural crisp sweet apple and delicate wood’ from the shavings of ash.
It is bottled at 38 percent ABV and priced US$ 61 for per 700ml bottle.
