The Delhi government has issued a warning to hotels, clubs, and restaurants in Delhi regarding the violation of liquor serving hours. The excise department of Delhi has directed all excise licensees, including different L-series license holders in the city-state to comply with the applicable rules or face punitive actions.

The directive specifically refers to Rule 551 of the Delhi Excise Rules, 2010, which sets the operating hours for liquor service in Delhi. Currently, liquor serving outlets in the capital are allowed to serve liquor until 1 am. Additionally, the directive mandates that all licensed liquor serving premises in the capital should ensure that their CCTV cameras are operational at all times.
