K Kavitha gets bail from SC

The Supreme Court has granted bail to K Kavitha. She was arrested in March by the Enforcement Directorate and Central Bureau of Investigation in the Delhi liquor gate.

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader and the daughter of ex Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in March in the alleged Delhi liquor policy scam.

In July, the Delhi High Court rejected Kavitha's bail plea, reasoning that she was, prima facie, a key accused and that there could be no ground for her bail as the investigation was in a crucial stage.
