Verdict on Arvind Kejriwal’s bail today

The Supreme Court is set to announce its verdict later today in a plea filed by jailed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal seeking bail and challenging his arrest by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in Delhi's excise policy case.

A Bench of the SC will deliver the judgment as the top court reserved its verdict on Kejriwal’s pleas on 5^th September.

Earlier, the Delhi High Court had refused Kejriwal’s pleas in the matter and asked him to approach the trial court for bail. The High Court’s refusal of bail led to Kejriwal’s appeals before the SC.

Kejriwa was first arrested by ED on  26^thMarch , but was later granted interim bail by the Supreme Court in the ED case. However, he remained in jail as he is yet to get bail in the CBI case.
