NHM Commons at Natural History Museum (Exposition Park)

Following a $75 million transformation, the museum now features a 60,000 sq. ft. indoor-outdoor wing. Visitors can see the massive sauropod Gnatalie, explore Barbara Carrasco’s mural L.A. History: A Mexican Perspective, and view specimens collected by community scientists. Designed by Frederick Fisher & Partners and Mia Lehrer’s Studio-MLA, the new addition enhances engagement with the local community.

Cultural Anniversaries at LACMA & Griffith Observatory

NHM COMMONS JUDITH PERLSTEIN WELCOME CENTER LOOKING WESTLACMA celebrates six decades of artistic excellence ahead of its highly anticipated David Geffen Galleries expansion in 2026. Additionally, LA’s most-visited public observatory, Griffith Observatory, celebrates its 90th year with special events throughout the year.

Destination Crenshaw

NHM COMMONS THEATERA $100 million outdoor art and culture project is transforming a 1.3-mile stretch of Crenshaw Boulevard. This vibrant corridor will showcase over 100 commissioned works by Black artists, celebrating Los Angeles’ rich Black heritage and culture.
