Hyatt Regency Delhi hosts Whisky & Sake Pairing experience

Hyatt Regency Delhi organised a limited time Whisky & Sake Pairing pop-up at TK’s Oriental Grill, where TK’s celebrated “Theatre of Fire” met the rich craftsmanship of premium Japanese spirits.

Rooted in the philosophy of ‘Kokoro’ translating to cooking with heart, the pop-up, from January 9-18, highlighted the smoky depth of Nikka Whisky and the clean, floral notes of Nanbu Bijin Sake that complemented and elevated the far-eastern flavours.

Live Teppanyaki performances across seven hot grills amid the restaurant’s award-winning interiors created a setting that was as visually striking as indulgent.

The menu was thoughtfully curated by the culinary team at TK’s Oriental Grill in collaboration with expert spirit ambassadors. Guests indulged in a layered flavour journey, from zesty and fresh nigiri like Hamachi and Sake paired with crisp Nanbu Bijin Sake, to smoky and savoury Teppanyaki signatures like Shredded Lamb with spicy gochujang and Tenderloin Steak with yakiniku sauce, crafted to stand up to the peaty notes of Nikka Whisky. The experience concluded on a sweet note with Flambéed Chocolate Tart, finished with a warm sip of whisky.

To enhance the experience, trained team members guided the guests through the tasting notes, shared the stories behind each spirit and explained the reasoning behind every pairing that made it equally engaging for seasoned connoisseurs and first-time explorers.

The Ryu (Non-Vegetarian) menu was priced at approximately ₹6,195 per person, while the Shizen (Vegetarian) menu was priced at ₹4,795 per person (plus taxes and spirits).
