Edrington appoints Paul Ross as COO, Edrington India

Edrington, the international premium spirits company, has announced the appointment of Paul Ross as Chief Operating Officer of Edrington India, underlining its long term commitment to one of the world’s fastest growing and strategically important spirits markets.

Based in Gurgaon, Paul will lead Edrington’s India operations and drive growth for its ultra-premium portfolio, led by The Macallan, the world’s most valuable single malt Scotch whisky, alongside Highland Park. He will work closely with local partners and stakeholders to build a strong, locally anchored business as demand for ultra-premium spirits continues to accelerate in India.

Martin Murdoch, Edrington’s Managing Director for Middle East, Africa and India said,  “Paul brings extensive experience of growing Edrington’s business and brands in markets across Asia Pacific, the UK and the Americas. Paul brings more than three decades of leadership experience with Edrington, having held senior roles across key international markets. He played a pivotal role in establishing Edrington’s first international office in Hong Kong and shaping the company’s Americas business. Most recently, as Chief Executive Officer of Edrington Americas, he led the accelerated growth of The Macallan in the United States.

An alumnus of the University of Glasgow, Ross holds qualifications in Accountancy and Business Law, with further executive education from Hult Ashridge and INSEAD. In his new role, he will focus on strengthening local capabilities, embedding Edrington’s culture and values, and building a platform for responsible, long-term growth in India.
