JW Marriott Goa has appointed Tanvi Palshikar as Pastry Chef, strengthening its culinary leadership team. Tanvi brings over a decade of experience in pastry arts and hospitality operations, along with a distinctive background in interior design that shapes her refined  approach to desserts. Her appointment reinforces the resort’s focus on innovation and elevated guest experiences.

Tanvi began her hospitality journey as a cake artist before joining JW Marriott Pune, where she progressed from Chef de Partie to Pastry Sous Chef. She led pastry operations across specialty outlets, all-day dining and large-format banquets serving over 2,000 guests daily. She later managed pastry functions for a Pune based hospitality group, overseeing restaurant dessert programs, B2B operations, research and development, staff training and quality control.

Tanvi’s craft has received significant attention in national and regional media. Her fully edible ‘Paithani Saree’ cake, complete with intricate jewelry, won acclaim across leading regional publications in the city of Pune. Her artistry has also been featured by BBC Marathi and History TV18, where her design-driven approach to pastry has won hearts. In Marriott International, Tanvi has been recognized as a Leading Lady Chef, she has also completed a specialized Bakery & Pastry course through the Lavonne × Marriott collaboration.

In her new role at JW Marriott Goa, Tanvi will head the pastry team, curating dessert menus, celebration cakes and signature confections. Her expertise spans cakes, entremets, chocolate work and bespoke creations, supporting the property’s commitment to culinary excellence.
