Buffalo Trace launches Weller 18 YO & Millennium #2
Buffalo Trace Distillery has expanded its iconic Weller portfolio with the release of two ultra-aged expressions — Weller 18 Year Old and the second edition of Weller Millennium. Both releases aim to spotlight the depth and ageing potential of wheat-based bourbon, a hallmark of the Weller brand.
Weller 18YO is the oldest age-stated whiskey under the Weller name to date. Bottled at 90 proof and crafted with a wheat-forward mashbill, it will debut exclusively in global travel retail, including outlets at Los Angeles International Airport, John F. Kennedy International Airport, and London Heathrow. Priced at USD 499, the 700 ml bottle features notes of aged fruit, tobacco, baking spices, and green pear, and is presented in a handcrafted decanter.
Weller Millennium #2, bottled at 99 proof, blends rare wheated bourbons and whiskeys from 2001, 2003, and 2006. It is housed in a crystal decanter with an illuminated display case and will be available through Sazerac’s distributor network and Buffalo Trace Distillery at USD 7,500. A limited quantity will also be auctioned via Sazerac’s Legacy de Forge platform, starting at USD 8,000.
These releases underscore Buffalo Trace’s commitment to innovating within the wheat whiskey category while honouring the legacy of William Larue Weller.
