Clydebuilt unveils four new whiskies
Clydebuilt, the boutique Scotch whisky label from Ardgowan Distillery Company, has launched four new expressions, including three Single Cask bottlings. The brand, which has been laying down stocks since 2016, reflects Ardgowan’s craft in blending and wood management while the distillery’s own spirit, first produced in June, continues to mature.
The company reinforced its long-term commitment to Clydebuilt with a £5 million investment in mature malt whisky stocks for 2025, alongside a further £4 million planned for 2026. CEO Roland Grain said, “Our bespoke Infinity Casks for Ardgowan spirit are designed for long maturation by their very nature. The stock we’ve already acquired, and this further investment, ensure Clydebuilt will have solid foundations for the decades ahead until Ardgowan Single Malt is truly ready. This is a key step in achieving our goal to double turnover annually until 2030.”

Laura Davies, Distillery Manager and Whisky Maker, said, “The Clydebuilt brand stands on craftsmanship and pride in quality, just like the Clyde’s former shipbuilders. With these new releases, we’ve drawn on exceptional whiskies and incredible, rich casks to create expressions full of character and individuality.”
The new releases comprise one Blended Malt and three Single Cask Single Malts, including 27 Year Old Sherry Matured Blended Malt (RRSP £95); 2009 Fettercairn Bourbon Hogshead (RRSP £85); 2012 Royal Brackla Bourbon Hogshead (RRSP £75); and, 2014 Ben Nevis Sherry Butt (RRSP £85).
