Bacardi-owned Dewar’s has introduced a limited-edition packaging design for its Double Double blended Scotch whisky range to mark the 2026 Lunar New Year, as part of a targeted activation across Asian travel retail markets. The initiative is being led by Bacardi’s global travel retail division and focuses on key airport hubs in the region.

The special-edition packs celebrate the Year of the Fire Horse, which begins on February 17 and will be available through the end of February at major international airports including Kuala Lumpur, Singapore Changi and Taiwan Taoyuan. The activation is aimed at engaging travelling consumers during one of the busiest periods for duty-free retail in Asia.

In addition to the Lunar New Year theme, the release also commemorates Dewar’s 180th anniversary, with the brand’s founding year of 1846 also falling under the Fire Horse zodiac. The design draws inspiration from the Fire Horse’s symbolism of passion and determination, featuring a prancing horse with a flowing, flame-like mane set against red and gold elements associated with traditional Lunar New Year celebrations.
