Freixenet has announced its entry into the spirits category with the international launch of Freixenet Solare, a Mediterranean-inspired aperitivo that blends premium character with strong shelf appeal. With this move, the globally recognised sparkling wine brand expands its portfolio beyond wine, tapping into the fast-growing aperitif segment.

Bottled at 11 percent ABV, Freixenet Solare is crafted using 100% natural flavours, highlighting sun-ripened Spanish lemon and clementine, layered with botanicals such as rosemary and thyme for added depth and complexity.

The design, inspired by the warmth of the Spanish sun, reflects the brand’s Mediterranean heritage and delivers a striking, high-visibility presence at retail. The product will be available in 700ml bottles starting March 2026.

Positioned to ride the global spritz macrotrend, the campaign invites consumers to “Taste the Sun” with the signature Freixenet Solare Spritz. The recommended 3-2-1 serve combines ice, three parts Freixenet Sparkling, two parts Solare, and one part sparkling water, finished with a lemon garnish. The launch will span over 15 countries from March 2026, followed by an alcohol-free variant in June 2026.
