Himmaleh launches first himalayan Agricole rum
Himmaleh Spirits, the innovative force behind premium brands Kumaon&I and Bandarful, has launched Neoli Himalayan Rum, a trailblazing spirit that marks a new era for Indian rum. Touted as the world’s first white pure single himalayan Agricole-style rum, Neoli is distilled in the scenic highlands of Kumaon, setting new standards for craftsmanship and terroir-driven spirits.
Unlike conventional rums made from molasses or jaggery, Neoli is uniquely crafted from fresh sugarcane juice, spontaneously fermented and distilled in a double retort pot still, an Indian first. The result is a vibrant, smooth white rum with a subtle vanilla aroma and a crisp sugarcane finish, bottled at 49 percent ABV.
“Neoli represents our commitment to purity, sustainability, and craftsmanship,” said Samarth Prasad, Co-founder of Himmaleh Spirits. Named after the Nyoli bird and inspired by its call, the rum pays homage to Kumaon’s natural bounty and heritage.
“As consumers demand authenticity and provenance, Neoli elevates the rum category in India and beyond,” added Co-founder Ansh Khanna.
It is currently available only in Goa and Uttarakhand at ₹3,000 and ₹2,700, respectively and is posed for global rollout soon.
