Himmaleh Spirits launches Darma

Himmaleh Spirits has announced the launch of Darma, a premium blended whisky inspired by the Himalayas. Crafted with a blend of Indian whisky, select Scottish malts and a subtle bourbon influence, Darma is positioned as a refined expression with a distinctly Himalayan character.

The whisky draws inspiration from the remote Darma Valley in Uttarakhand, reflecting an aura of quiet mystery and layered complexity. In the glass, Darma presents a rich golden hue with a soft amber glow. The aroma opens with toasted notes layered with Madagascan vanilla, hints of coconut and dried fruit. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and smooth, revealing creamy caramel with a gentle trace of spice, followed by a warm, lingering finish.

Darma’s packaging mirrors its inspiration, featuring a snow leopard on the label, symbolising balance and mystery, set amid the flora and fauna of the Darma Valley. The sculpted punt at the base of the bottle echoes the contours of the Himalayas.

Bottled at 42.8 percent ABV, the whisky is designed to perform well in modern cocktails while remaining equally enjoyable over ice.

Darma is available initially in Uttarakhand at a starting price of ₹1,580, followed by launches in Goa and Gurugram, with additional markets to follow.
