The London Distillery Company (TLDC) is set to release Ten Times Around the Sun, London’s first 10-year-old single malt whisky, on Friday, 27 February. The limited-edition expression, comprising just 220 bottles, marks a significant milestone in the capital’s modern whisky revival and is priced at £89.95.
Distilled from Quench spring barley and laid down on 20 October 2015 in a single ex-bourbon barrel (#007), the whisky has matured for a full decade before being bottled at 51.4 percent ABV. It is presented non-chill-filtered and with natural colour, highlighting the distillery’s commitment to traditional production standards.
Founded in 2011, TLDC became London’s first new whisky distillery since the closure of Lea Valley Distillery in 1903. Operating initially from Battersea, the distillery earned recognition for blending time-honoured whisky making techniques with a contemporary approach before closing in 2019. Following its revival in 2025, the company has spent the past year rebuilding its footprint in London’s growing whisky landscape.
The packaging features bespoke artwork inspired by the whisky’s decade of maturation, visually representing ten complete orbits around the sun — a tribute to time, patience and London’s re-emergence as a credible whisky-producing region.
