Radico rolls out The Kohinoor Reserve Indian Dark Rum in India
Radico Khaitan Ltd. has announced the rollout of The Kohinoor Reserve Indian Dark Rum in India. The globally acclaimed triple-aged rum debuts domestically after a successful international launch. The rollout begins in Uttar Pradesh, followed by Karnataka and Delhi. Crafted in small batches from fresh cane juice harvested during the North Indian winter, the rum is matured in American Bourbon barrels and finished in Cognac XO and Vermouth casks, a distinctive triple-cask process that sets it apart in the premium dark rum segment.
Rooted in centuries-old Indian rum-making traditions and inspired by the legendary Kohinoor diamond, the expression blends heritage with modern luxury. Its sculpted, multi-faceted bottle echoes a finely cut gem, with muted gold detailing, broad shoulders and a strong base reflecting regal elegance and quiet luxury. The spirit pays homage to India’s early mastery of distillation, tracing back to the Indus Valley civilisation.

Commenting on the launch, Abhishek Khaitan, Managing Director of Radico Khaitan Ltd., said, “The rum category in India is a significant and growing sector, with consumers increasingly gravitating toward richer, more complex dark rum expressions. This renewed appreciation for craftsmanship and depth makes it an exciting time to expand our presence in the segment. The Kohinoor Reserve has already earned love and appreciation in international markets for its distinct character and refined profile, and we are truly pleased to now introduce it to our home market.”
