The Dalmore launches Year 2 of The Portfolio Series
The Dalmore has unveiled The Portfolio Series 2025, the second release in its annual three-part collection of Highland Single Malt Scotch whiskies finished in hand-selected Bordeaux casks from some of the region’s most prestigious Châteaux vineyards.
Exclusively available in global travel retail, this year’s edition has been designed in partnership with V&A Dundee and Scottish graphic artist Gabriella Marcella, founder of the risograph print and design studio RISOTTO. Inspired by her time at The Dalmore distillery, Marcella reinterpreted the historic Mackenzie tartan, blending traditional weaving precision with contemporary abstraction.
“My aim was to translate the smooth, flowing characteristics of these whiskies into visual elements – ones that evoke movement and tactility,” Marcella said, noting how the whisky’s layered sensory notes and the tartan’s intricate patterns shaped her creative process.
The collection comprises three non-aged statement whiskies, all non-chill filtered and of natural colour:
- Portfolio Series No.1 (3,595 bottles, £500/US$635) – Bordeaux wine cask finish, 46.8 percent ABV
- Portfolio Series No.2 (1,596 bottles, £750/US$952.50) – Châteauneuf-du-Pape cask finish, 46 percent ABV
- Portfolio Series No.3 (1,014 bottles, £1,000/US$1,270) – Bordeaux Cabernet Sauvignon cask finish, 49.7 percent ABV
The Dalmore Portfolio Series 2025 will make its global debut on 1 September at Singapore Changi Airport in exclusive partnership with Lotte Duty Free, followed by a wider roll-out to major hub airports from October.
Janice McIntosh, Marketing Director GTR, Whyte & Mackay, said, “We are proud to build on the success of the inaugural launch with The Portfolio Series 2025. This exceptional whisky collection is celebrated visually in the bold creative vision of Gabriella Marcella. Partnering with Changi Airport and Lotte Duty Free allows us to bring yet more distinctive and immersive moments of discovery from The Dalmore to global travellers.”
