The Macallan launches first shop-in-shop at Changi Airport

Single malt Scotch whisky brand The Macallan has opened its first-ever shop-in-shop at Singapore Changi Airport, strengthening its presence in one of Asia Pacific’s most important travel retail hubs. The store has been developed in partnership with Lotte Singapore and Changi Airport Group and is located in Terminal 3 of the airport, which was named the World’s Best Airport 2025 by Skytrax.

Spanning 19 square metres, the new retail space combines hospitality, digital engagement and education, offering travellers an immersive introduction to The Macallan’s heritage and craftsmanship. Brand Consultants are available on site to guide consumers through the portfolio and enhance engagement.

At the heart of the store is The Macallan’s first island bar concept within a shop-in-shop. Designed to encourage open interaction, the bar features the brand’s signature red countertop, while surrounding oak wave elements reference the distillery’s roof design and the rolling landscape of Speyside along the River Spey.

The island bar also functions as a tasting zone, where travellers can sample travel-exclusive and limited-edition expressions, including selections from the Colour Collection and The Harmony Collection Inspired by Organic Cherrywood Lapsang Tea. Additional features include personalised gifting rituals and interactive digital tools such as Discover Your Expression and the Six Pillars multisensory experience, which explains the core principles behind The Macallan’s whisky-making process.
