Tilaknagar launches Seven Islands Pure Malt Whisky

Tilaknagar Industries (TI) has announced its foray into the premium whisky category with the launch of Seven Islands Pure Malt Whisky in Maharashtra. Crafted from four single malts, two sourced from India and two from Scotland, the new expression introduces a distinctive Indo-Scottish pure malt style to the Indian market. The blend brings together the finesse of Himalayan and Vindhyan malts with the sweetness and balance characteristic of Speyside and Lowland regions, resulting in a layered, refined and globally inspired profile.

Seven Islands pays tribute to the seven original islands that united to form Mumbai, the birthplace of TI’s nine-decade journey. Its design and narrative reflect this spirit of confluence, blending heritage with contemporary craftsmanship.

Amit Dahanukar, Chairman & Managing Director of Tilaknagar Industries

“India’s whisky story is evolving faster than ever, with growing consumer demand for premium and luxury expressions. Seven Islands marks TI’s entry into this dynamic category, bringing together Indian craftsmanship and global expertise to create a whisky that is both distinctly Indian and globally competitive. With whisky commanding over 60 percent of India’s spirits market, expanding into this category was the next natural step for us.” said Amit Dahanukar, Chairman and Managing Director, Tilaknagar Industries Ltd.

With this launch, Tilaknagar Industries strengthens its premium portfolio and deepens its presence in India’s rapidly evolving whisky landscape. The brand positions Seven Islands as a celebration of culture, craft and the progression of Indian whisky on the global stage.

Sanaya Dahanukar

“Seven Islands reflects our vision for House of TI, our new vertical which includes our premium portfolio and investments arm. House of TI was created to shape our premium and craft-led portfolio, beginning with Monarch Legacy Edition. With Seven Islands, we wanted to bring a new perspective and style to Indian whisky. It felt like the right way to introduce something distinctive, and a meaningful step forward for us as we expand into the whisky category.” said Marketing Manager, Sanaya Dahanukar.

The spirit is defined by its natural, brilliant golden-yellow colour and a smooth, inviting aroma highlighted by tropical fruits, dried nuts and subtle French and American oak intertwined with Indian spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied and balanced, offering sweet dried fruits, soft spice, a creamy texture and a gentle hint of smoke, culminating in a long, smooth and warm finish with lingering notes of oak, spice and dried fruits.

The whisky is bottled at 42.8 percent ABV in a 750 ml format and is priced at ₹5,200 in Maharashtra.
