Vaniitha Jaiin, one of India’s most distinguished voices in the premium and luxury alcobev industry and internationally recognised among the Top 10 Women of Wine, has unveiled her latest venture: Revelry Distillery. Situated in the verdant Sattari region of North Goa, the newly launched craft distillery is set to redefine the landscape of Indian spirits with a focus on small-batch, terroir-driven, world-class spirits.
Revelry Distillery is purpose-built to foster artisanal production, sustainability, and precision. Equipped with cutting-edge technology and a dedicated R&D lab, the facility is designed to produce up to a million bottles annually. The distillery’s bespoke infrastructure includes a customised Hagyo pot still from Hungary and a rare five-step gin-making process—botanical maceration, copper pot distillation, vapour infusion, cold vacuum distillation, and staging. It is among the few distilleries globally that combine all three techniques—copper pot, vapour infusion, and cold vacuum distillation—to craft spirits of exceptional character and consistency.
“Revelry is built on a foundation of authenticity, storytelling and meticulous craftsmanship, paving the way for India to establish itself as a key contender in the premium global spirits market,” says Vaniitha.
Navvin Jaiin, Director at Revelry Distillery, maintains, “With Revelry, we’re building more than a brand; we’re crafting a platform for Indian excellence in spirits. The focus is on quality, authenticity and global readiness. We believe India deserves its place on the map of world-class craft distillation.”
The distillery’s debut release, Vanaha Gin, is a tribute to India’s lush biodiversity and ancient forests. Derived from the Sanskrit words ‘Vana’ (forest) and ‘Aha’ (epiphany), Vanaha is a sipping gin that embodies forest-born elegance with layered complexity. Crafted using 24 handpicked botanicals, including Deodar Wood, Patchouli, Palash Flowers, Assam Lemons, and Juniper Berries, the gin offers an earthy, woody, and aromatic profile with no artificial flavours or additives.
Vanaha is the first gin in India to utilise cold vacuum distillation, a technique that preserves delicate botanicals and enhances aroma, flavour, and finish. Best enjoyed neat over ice or in refined cocktails, Vanaha speaks to connoisseurs who value depth, ritual, and meaningful indulgence.
“With Vanaha, we are not just launching a gin; we hope to usher in a quiet revolution in Indian spirits: where provenance meets purity, craftsmanship meets consciousness, and indulgence meets intention. We wanted to create a spirit that speaks to the modern connoisseur—someone who seeks depth, not dazzle; ritual, not rush. At its core, Vanaha is a celebration of India—its richness, its roots, and its rising global presence. Our vision is to build a world-class gin that proudly embodies the Make in India spirit and stands shoulder to shoulder with the finest international brands,” adds Vaniitha.
The spirit is housed in a forest-green glass bottle, embellished with embossed copper foiling and a raised seal featuring a woodpecker, a rare and powerful symbol of vitality in India’s forests. The bottle’s design reflects the gin’s natural inspiration, offering a multi-sensory ‘forest-to-bottle’ experience.
Priced at ₹2,400 for a 750ml bottle, Vanaha officially launched on May 16 in Goa. The roll-out will continue to key metropolitan markets, beginning with Karnataka.
