Varchas Whiskey launches Indus Gold

American craft distiller Varchas Whiskey, from the house of Shankar Distillers, has launched Indus Gold, a one-of-a-kind blended whiskey crafted from spirits across three continents: American bourbon, Scottish scotch, and Indian single malt.

Founder Varchasvi Shankar calls it “a historic moment” and “a game-changer for our award-winning Varchas Whiskey portfolio,” adding that the whiskey offers “rich, smooth flavours of authentic American bourbon, the finish of spice and a hint of peat” to delight enthusiasts.

The launch follows years of distilling and product development, with blind tastings earning high ratings from consumers and bar professionals alike. Indus Gold celebrates global craftsmanship, melding heritage and innovation for a distinctive flavour profile.

Priced between ₹2,800 and ₹3,500 in 180 ml and 750 ml bottles, respectively, Indus Gold is currently available in Goa and Karnataka through select retailers and establishments.

Shankar Distillers plans to expand its presence through strategic partnerships and consumer education, reinforcing its commitment to bringing premium American craft whiskey experiences to India while showcasing the versatility and artistry of the Varchas portfolio.
