Delhi govt extends the excise policy till June 2025

The Delhi government has extended the existing excise duty based regime for three months, up to June 30, 2025. All L-1, L-IF, and L-2 licenses have been extended until this date upon payment of the requisite license fee on a pro-rata basis, under the same terms and conditions as the 2024-25 licensing year.

An official order (No. L-1/13/ExlIMFL/10-11/2459-2465) dated March 26, 2025, confirmed the extension. Additionally, all annually renewable licenses will also be extended for three months under the same terms and conditions as that of Excise Year 2024-2025.

The order directs the concerned branches to issue necessary circulars in compliance with the Delhi Excise Rules, 2010.
