The three-day national-level event spotlighted India’s rich cultural heritage while championing sustainability, innovation and authenticity in hospitality practices.

The grand opening was graced by Diwan Gautam Anand, Founding Trustee of the Cuisine India Foundation, alongside eminent industry leaders from Taj Hotels and Crowne Plaza. Principal Prof. R.K. Bhandari underscored CHE as a platform for young talent to showcase creativity and resilience, while Dr. Prem Ram emphasised sustainability and the use of indigenous ingredients like millets.

Among 17 exciting competitions, the showstopper was the Zone Bar Wizard Mixology Challenge, a national-level contest sponsored by Zone, where budding bartenders from across India impressed the judges with their innovative cocktails and mocktails inspired by Indian traditions and eco-friendly themes, perfectly embodying the spirit of “Sanskriti se Samriddhi.”

The closing ceremony on October 17 featured Jyoti Mayal, Chairperson of THSC, as Chief Guest. She encouraged participants to uphold India’s legacy of hospitality excellence and focus on skill development and sustainable tourism. The evening also showcased captivating cultural performances, celebrating India’s artistic heritage through music, dance and theatre.

In a moment of triumph, Regency College of Culinary Arts and Hotel Management, Hyderabad, was declared the overall champion of the 24th CHE. Supported by leading partners, including Taj, Crowne Plaza, Roseate and Zone, the event concluded with a vote of thanks by Gagandeep Soni, Associate Professor at BCIHMCT. The event marked yet another milestone in BCIHMCT’s journey of fostering excellence, innovation and cultural pride in hospitality education.
