ABD appoints CRISIL to advance governance practices

Allied Blenders and Distillers Limited (ABD) has appointed CRISIL Ltd, a analytics and sustainability advisory venture, to enhance its governance framework and embed sustainability across its business.

The partnership underscores ABD’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and long-term value creation. As part of the engagement, CRISIL will conduct its Governance and Value Creation (GVC) assessment, reviewing governance practices and evaluating sustainable and inclusive value creation. The initiative aims to align ABD’s governance model with global best practices.

Additionally, CRISIL will support ABD in meeting evolving regulatory expectations, including the Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report (BRSR) for FY26.

ABD’s Managing Director, Alok Gupta, emphasised that strong governance and sustainability are integral to the company’s growth and operations. He stated, “This partnership with CRISIL is an important step in building a more resilient and responsible business. As we continue to scale, we are equally focused on making a lasting difference for our consumers, communities, and the industry.”

The initiative is part of ABD’s broader transformation, which includes premiumising its portfolio, modernizing operations, and expanding market presence. By integrating governance and sustainability into its growth strategy, ABD aims to lead positive change in the Indian alcobev sector.
