ABD gets nod for production capacity expansion in Telangana

Allied Blenders and Distillers Ltd (ABD) has received approval from the Commissioner of Prohibition & Excise, Hyderabad, to increase its grain-based spirit production capacity by 15 lakh bulk litres for FY2024-25.

This expansion raises the company’s total licensed capacity to 615 lakh bulk litres at its Rangapur facility in Pebbiar, Wanaparthy District, Telangana. Effective immediately and valid until March 31, 2025, the increase does not require additional investment, as the necessary infrastructure is already in place.

In a stock exchange filing, ABD stated that the approval, granted under Rule 10(4) of the Telangana Distillery (Manufacture of Spirits) Rules, 2006, is subject to payment of applicable license fees.
