Ashish Chopra now leads largest duty free in south asia

Ashish Chopra has been appointed CEO Group Duty Free Business for GMR Airports Limited (GMR Aero). 

He was previously the CEO of Delhi Duty Free and will now lead the integration of Delhi Duty Free into GMR's portfolio, transforming GMR Aero into the largest duty-free operator in India and South Asia.  

During his tenure at Delhi Duty Free, Ashish Chopra played a pivotal role in strengthening the organisation’s position as India’s largest duty-free retail hub. He spearheaded several strategic initiatives, including premiumisation of the product portfolio, enhancing customer experience, and driving robust revenue growth despite challenging market dynamics. Under his leadership, Delhi Duty Free witnessed strong performance across categories and reinforced its reputation as a benchmark in global travel retail.
