Ayodhya bans liquor sale on Ram Path
The Ayodhya Municipal Corporation has passed a resolution to ban the sale of liquor and meat along the entire 14-kilometer stretch of Ram Path, a significant route that connects Ayodhya to Faizabad and leads to the Ram temple.
The ban will also apply to advertisements promoting paan, gutkha, bidi, cigarettes, and innerwear along the route. Concern officials said the decision is intended to maintain the spiritual and cultural significance of Ram Path, which plays a central role in Ayodhya’s religious identity. The municipal corporation is expected to announce the implementation timeline and related enforcement guidelines in the coming days.
