Bowmore releases GTR-exclusive 11 YO expression

Bowmore distillery has introduced Bowmore 11 Years Old, a single malt matured in ex-bourbon and Spanish oak sherry casks, delivering a rich, fruity character with a smouldering sherry finish.

With a 40 percent ABV, the GTR exclusive’s tasting notes reveal smoke and dark chocolate, walnut brittle, fresh sourdough and sweet layers of red berry and citrus cream, with lingering pine resin.

Gareth Jones, Suntory Global Spirits General Manager, GTR Europe & Americas, calls it “a perfect expression for today’s travelling consumer”, celebrating Islay’s dramatic coastline and peat-rich moors.

Following the success of the Bowmore Appellations wine-finished collection, this launch underlines Bowmore’s strategy to elevate the whisky category and enhance airport shopping experiences with premium and travel-exclusive expressions.

Kirsteen Beeston, Global Marketing Director, Bowmore, says the 11 Years Old “bridges the Scotch portfolio gap between the non-age statement and single malt entry point,” aligning with the global rise in luxury spirits.

It will be available exclusively in global travel retail from October 2025 at a recommended price of USD 55.
