Campari Group has announced the appointment of Francesco Mele as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective from the fourth quarter of 2025.

Francesco brings extensive financial and managerial experience, having last served as Chief Investment Officer at Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP). He has also acted as the CEO of CDP Equity, and held CFO roles at Illimity Bank and Monte dei Paschi di Siena. He also held senior positions in investment banking at Nomura and Goldman Sachs. In his new role, Francesco will look after finance, global business services and IT, while navigating complex operational environments.

Outgoing CFO Paolo Marchesini, who joined Campari in 1997 as its first CFO and later became chief operating officer, will move on to become the Vice-Chairman of the board for three years.

Paolo praised the team he has led, while expressing confidence that Francesco will “continue to drive the company from strength to strength.”

Meanwhile, Campari Group CEO Simon Hunt will assume responsibility for the company’s global supply chain operations from the same quarter.
