CG Hospitality and Marriott International launch Series
In a significant development for the Indian and global hospitality industry, CG Hospitality Global, the hospitality arm of CG Corp Global and majority stakeholder in Concept Hospitality Private Ltd. (CHPL), has announced a strategic partnership with Marriott International for the global launch of Series by Marriott, a new midscale and upscale collection brand.
At the heart of this partnership is the integration of The Fern, The Fern Residency, and The Fern Habitat, India’s leading eco-sensitive hotel brands, into Marriott’s global ecosystem. Founded in 1996 by Param Kannampilly, CHPL has become one of India’s most respected hotel management companies, managing over 120 operational properties in 90 cities, with 40 more in the pipeline.
The collaboration will bring approximately 84 Fern-branded hotels and 6,000 rooms into Marriott’s India portfolio, making it one of the most significant multi-unit transactions in the Indian hospitality sector to date.
As part of the deal, Marriott International will make a strategic equity investment in CHPL and enter an exclusive long-term co-branding agreement for The Fern brands in India. The move gives Fern access to Marriott's powerful global platforms, including its digital ecosystem and the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program, which boasts over 237 million members worldwide.
Despite the new global exposure, The Fern hotels will retain their independent spirit and regional identity, an ethos that CG Hospitality has championed from the start. This partnership underscores CG Hospitality’s vision of elevating regionally rooted Indian brands to global prominence.
