Chef Davinder Kumar launches book on Indian curries
Leading figures from gastronomy, hospitality and culture gathered for an evening of flavours, stories and celebration at the launch of Romance of the Indian Curry – 365 Flavours for the Year, authored by acclaimed Chef Davinder Kumar, Vice President-F&B, Le Méridien New Delhi and President of the Indian Culinary Forum.
Amitabh Kant, former CEO of NITI Aayog and India’s G20 Sherpa unveiled the book alongside Chef Davinder. Appreciating his work, Amitabh said, “Chef Davinder Kumar’s genius lies in creating a book that lets you experience the joy of Indian curry every single day of the year. With 365 recipes, Romance of the Indian Curry is not just a culinary collection but a celebration of India’s diverse food heritage.”
Sharing his inspiration behind the book, Chef Davinder added, “This book is my way of honouring India’s extraordinary culinary traditions. The book launch was followed by a thought-provoking panel discussion, featuring culinary experts Dr. Pushpesh Pant, Rocky Mohan, Gautam Anand, Kamal Kant Pant, Anoothi Vishal and Chef Vineet Manocha. They discussed India’s food heritage, contemporary dining and how Romance of the Indian Curry serves as a valuable resource for chefs, culinary students and food enthusiasts worldwide.
Among the esteemed guests were Padma Shri awardee and Bharatanatyam exponent Pratibha Prahlad, visionary hotelier Tarun Thakral and others.
