Chirag Paswan tours Madhu Mandapam, hails alcobev innovation
Union Minister for Food Processing Industries Chirag Paswan visited Madhu Mandapam, the alcobev pavilion at World Food India 2025, on Saturday morning, and met representatives from a line-up of domestic and international producers.
Accompanied by senior ministry officials, the minister toured the stalls and inquired about brands and innovations on display, visiting stands by Diageo, Carlsberg, Allied Blenders & Distillers (ABD), Alcobrew Distilleries, Piccadily, Rock & Storm Distilleries, ADS Spirits and Sula. Organisers, Bishan Kumar and Shalini Khumar, said the visit underlined the government’s engagement with a sector that is rapidly diversifying and moving up the value chain.
The minister praised Indian alcobev producers for their innovations to suit the evolving tastes of today’s consumers and commended Madhu Mandapam’s work in bringing together industry leaders, mixologists, chefs and trade delegates. He assured exhibitors that the ministry would work towards the upliftment of the sector and act as a bridge between industry and government.
Madhu Mandapam, now in its second edition, is curated by RASHA Solutions, Spiritz Magazine’s sister concern, in collaboration with FSSAI, APEDA, Invest India, FICCI and EY, and supported by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO).
The pavilion has been offering a packed programme of masterclasses, cocktail competitions, culinary and mixology fusion, guided tastings, flair-bartending showcases and a B2B lounge designed to connect brand owners with distributors and institutional buyers. The four-day event hosted at Bharat Mandapam will wrap up on September 28.
