Delhi Duty Free reports highest-ever annual sales in FY 2024–25
Delhi Duty Free has reported its highest-ever annual sales of Rs 2,177 crores (USD 261 million) for the financial year ending March 31, 2025, marking a robust 12 percent growth over FY 2023–24.
This milestone reflects the strength of India’s stable and growing economy, the sustained surge in outbound travel from India, and a steady influx of global tourists. The record-breaking performance was further fueled by rising aspirations of the Indian diaspora and increasing discretionary spending by resident Indians.
CEO Ashish Chopra called it a landmark moment, attributing the achievement to the team’s vision, agility, and commitment to innovation — spanning product, pricing, partnerships, and customer experience. He emphasized Delhi Duty Free’s alignment with global benchmarks in duty-free retail while staying rooted in the evolving needs of both Indian and international travelers. Ashish remarked, “This milestone energizes us to aim even higher and continue building a retail experience that travellers truly look forward to.”
The performance was supported by double-digit growth in international passenger volumes and Delhi Airport’s growing stature as a global hub. Strategic retail moves like assortment refreshes, category expansions, premium brand tie-ups, and visual merchandising upgrades played a key role. Customer insights, trend-watching, and real-time feedback ensured agility in meeting traveler expectations.
A strong partnership with Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), along with support from suppliers and brand partners, was also instrumental in this success. Looking ahead, Delhi Duty Free aims to deepen its leadership in global travel retail with a continued focus on innovation, premium service, and delivering aspirational, globally benchmarked experiences.
