Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery celebrates 25 Years

Aberfeldy Distillery, the Highland home of Dewar’s blended Scotch whisky, is commemorating 25 years since the launch of its visitor centre and whisky experience with the release of a limited edition Aberfeldy 22 Year Old single malt. This special bottling, finished in Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez, Spain, is part of the distillery’s Exceptional Cask Series and is limited to just 552 bottles globally.

Opened in 2000, the visitor centre has become a key destination for whisky enthusiasts, showcasing both Aberfeldy single malts and Dewar’s blended Scotch. The 22 Year Old release is designed to mark the milestone with a premium expression that highlights the distillery’s craftsmanship and approach to maturation.

The whisky offers layered notes of orchard fruits, caramelised apple, vanilla, heather honey, toasted oak, and spice, reflecting the balance achieved through careful cask finishing. Priced at US$260, the commemorative bottling is available directly from the distillery and via its online store.

To further mark the anniversary, Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery plans to host a series of special events, tastings, and behind-the-scenes experiences throughout the year.
