Diageo India honoured at FICCI Women Empowerment Awards

Diageo India (United Spirits Ltd.) has been awarded in the ‘Women Representation in Senior Management’ category at the FICCI Women Empowerment Awards 2024–2025. The award acknowledges organisations that have demonstrated strong commitment to gender diversity and advancing women into leadership roles.

Diageo India’s recognition reflects its broader “Spirit of Progress” agenda which places inclusion and diversity at its core. As of the 2025 ESG report, women comprised around 28 percent of its executive workforce, 30 percent of its leadership team and 50 percent of its Executive Committee, a significant representation for a traditionally male dominated sector.

The award from FICCI underscores how Diageo India’s policies and internal initiatives are translating into measurable outcomes. It adds to other efforts from the company such as skills training and leadership-path programmes for women, notably through its collaboration with Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) to upskill women bartenders and professionals across India.

For Diageo India, this recognition serves both as validation of its gender diversity strategy and a commitment to sustaining inclusive growth in the spirits industry.
