Diageo India launches WASH projects in Goa

Diageo India has launched two Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) projects in Ponda, Goa, in collaboration with BharatCares, aiming to improve access to clean drinking water and sanitation for 85 students and faculty.

The initiative includes infrastructure renovations at Government Primary Schools in the Bethora village and Mestawada area of Ponda, with upgrades to drinking water systems and sanitation facilities.

Navdeep Singh Mehram, Vice President of CSR & Sustainability at Diageo India, emphasised the company’s commitment to sustainable water solutions under its ‘Spirit of Progress’ ESG action plan. Abhishek Tyagi, AVP at BharatCares, highlighted the project’s long-term impact on health and community well-being. School principal Vandita Paresh Naik acknowledged the positive changes for students. Diageo India continues to champion WASH initiatives across eight states, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and community welfare.
