Dr. Lalit Khaitan honoured with PHDCCI Lifetime Achievement Award

The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) has conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award on Dr. Lalit Khaitan, Chairman and Managing Director of Radico Khaitan Ltd., in recognition of his pioneering contribution to the Indian alcoholic beverages industry and his visionary leadership that transformed Radico Khaitan into a global conglomerate.

The award was presented to Dr. Khaitan by Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, during the PHDCCI’s 120th Annual Session. The honour celebrates Dr. Khaitan’s unwavering commitment, leadership and enduring values that continue to define Radico Khaitan’s growth story.

Radico Khaitan, a leading Indian alcobev company, began as a small bottling business inherited by Dr. Khaitan in 1995. Under his leadership, the company diversified into branded spirits in 1997 with the active involvement of his son, Abhishek Khaitan, a trained industrial engineer who now leads the company. The family’s association with the industry dates back to the 1970s, when Dr. Khaitan’s father acquired the Rampur Distillery and Chemical Company.

Expressing his gratitude at the ceremony, Dr. Khaitan said, “I would like to thank everyone who has supported us through challenging times and beyond.” He added, “I must especially acknowledge my son, Abhishek Khaitan; we have worked shoulder to shoulder for the last 30 years to bring Radico to where it is today. Earlier, I was leading Radico and he was supporting me; today, he leads Radico and I am supporting him.”

Today, Radico Khaitan is known for iconic brands such as Magic Moments Vodka, 8PM Whisky, Old Admiral Brandy and Rampur Single Malt Whisky.
