Fairmont Udaipur Palace has announced the appointment of Rajan Malhotra as its new Director of Sales and Marketing. With more than two decades of experience across India’s leading luxury hospitality brands, Rajan brings a strong commercial acumen and a destination-first approach to his new role.

Rajan has been instrumental in driving revenue strategies for prestigious hotels, with expertise in destination weddings, MICE, and experiential luxury travel. Known for his ability to translate a property’s grandeur into impactful market positioning, he has developed storytelling-led strategies that strengthen client connections and elevate brand perception.

At Fairmont Udaipur Palace, Malhotra will spearhead a dynamic vision aimed at positioning the hotel not just as a palace, but as a landmark destination for luxury celebrations and business gatherings. The property boasts the largest room inventory in Rajasthan’s luxury segment, two grand banquet halls, scenic terraces, and four expansive gardens.

Under his leadership, the sales and marketing function will expand across multiple verticals including weddings, leisure, private celebrations, and business events. A key focus will also be on repositioning Udaipur as a global MICE hub, leveraging the city’s infrastructure for gatherings of up to 2,000 delegates.
