The Glenlivet has launched its oldest permanent expression, a 40-year-old single malt Scotch whisky in retail, marking a milestone in the brand’s history. Bottled at 46.9 percent ABV, the whisky has been matured for over four decades and finished in sherry-seasoned casks, showcasing the influence of Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez under the expertise of Cask Master Kevin Balmforth.
This exceptional whisky delivers a rich and complex flavour profile, featuring notes of poached plums, dark cherries, and warming spices. Priced at £4,600, The Glenlivet 40-Year-Old will be available through The Whisky Shop, offering a rare indulgence for Scotch enthusiasts.
